Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of this website and any handyman services booked through hahahandy ("we", "us", "our") in Singapore. By WhatsApping us, using the enquiry form, or booking a service, you agree to the terms below.

Enquiries and quotations

Enquiries made via WhatsApp, phone or this website are not a booking on their own. A job is confirmed only once we've assessed the details or photo you've sent, agreed the scope of work with you, and you've accepted a quotation. Quotations are based on the information and photos you provide — the final price may be adjusted if the actual job on site differs materially from what was described.

What we do — and don't

We provide the handyman services listed on this site: general home repairs, drilling and wall mounting, TV mounting, furniture assembly, plumbing (taps, sinks, toilet/bidet fixtures, minor leaks), door/lock/cabinet repairs, painting and wall patching, curtains and blinds, wall/tile/grout repairs, and move-in/move-out handyman work.

We do not undertake regulated electrical wiring, modification or repair work ourselves unless carried out or supervised by an appropriately Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW). Where a job turns out to involve regulated electrical work, we'll let you know and refer you to a licensed partner rather than proceeding as ordinary handyman work.

Access and site conditions

You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area at the agreed time, and to flag any building/management-office permit requirements (common in condos) in advance. Delays caused by access issues, missing permits, or materials you're supplying may affect scheduling.

Pricing

We do not publish fixed public price lists on this site, as job scope varies. Any pricing shared with you is a quotation for that specific job, valid for the period stated when it's given. We do not promise a response time or same-day service unless we've confirmed it with you directly for that job.

Cancellations and rescheduling

We understand plans change. You may reschedule or cancel a confirmed appointment at no charge if you give us at least 24 hours' notice. For cancellations or no-shows with less than 24 hours' notice — including if our team cannot access the agreed work area at the agreed time — we may charge a reasonable trip/callout fee to cover the time and transport already committed; where this applies, we will tell you the amount before it is charged.

If we need to reschedule your appointment (for example due to illness, an emergency, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control), we will let you know as early as possible and will not charge you for the change.

Warranty on workmanship

We stand behind our work. For 7 days from the date a job is completed, we will re-attend at no additional labour charge to fix a defect that is caused by our workmanship on that job. To make a claim, contact us via WhatsApp or email within the 7-day period with a description and, where possible, a photo of the issue, and we will assess it in good faith.

This workmanship warranty does not cover: materials, parts or products themselves (these remain subject to the relevant manufacturer's or supplier's warranty, not ours); fair wear and tear; damage caused by misuse, accident, or work carried out by someone else after we finish; pre-existing conditions in your home that our work did not cause; or issues arising because information or access you provided was incomplete or inaccurate. This warranty covers our labour only and does not affect any other rights you have under Singapore law.

Liability

We take reasonable care and skill in carrying out every job. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Singapore law, including the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.

Subject to the paragraph above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job; and (b) we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of income, loss of use, or costs of alternative arrangements, arising from our services.

You are responsible for telling us about hazards we would not reasonably be aware of (for example concealed wiring, pipework, or structural issues) before work begins. We are not liable for loss or damage arising from a hazard that was not disclosed to us and that we could not reasonably have discovered. As set out under "What we do — and don't" above, we do not undertake regulated electrical work ourselves, and we are not responsible for work carried out by a third-party Licensed Electrical Worker or other specialist we refer you to.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any dispute arising from them or from our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised terms.

The cancellation notice period (24 hours) and workmanship warranty period (7 days) above are drafted as reasonable defaults for a Singapore handyman SME — confirm these match your actual business policy, or tell us the figures you'd prefer and we'll update them. As with any legal document, we'd recommend a final review by a Singapore-qualified lawyer before you rely on it, particularly the liability section.
